So a short review just to give a heads up to this fantastic little eatery in West Didsbury. As we were staying in Manchester on a room only basis we wanted some samosas from the Curry Mile and a good breakfast in the leafy Manchester burbs.
Having consulted Twitter for recommendations, Thyme Out was recommended and the menu looked good. The brews were served in funky teapot cup combos and the loose leaf tea was excellent.
Onto the food, and if Mrs Food Saint says this is the best breakfast she has ever had, then that’s when I knew I had to do a review. “Come’n avo go if you think you’re hard enough,” is the dish that contains smashed avocado and feta cheese served on sourdough toast. Add some sun blush tomatoes, crispy pancetta and some magic with chilli, garlic and citrus flavourings and boom. My wife ate all of this and cannot wait to eat it again.
I am not quite the avocado fan and therefore went traditional with the full English. A picture speaks a thousand words…..
This was an epic fry up. Lovely sourdough toast, homemade hash brown, excellent quality meat. It was stupendous.
So the diet really does start tomorrow. Again.
If in South Manchester, there’s only one place for breakfast in this house. The flat whites for the journey home and the lemon drizzle cake for afternoon snack were not bad either!
