So finally onto another of the Lytham Square heavyweights. We have eaten here many times since our arrival on the Fylde and it continues to be dependable for a good steak. The restaurant is a lovely space inside, probably one of the nicest interior designs in the town. The staff are always very friendly, with particular mention to the waiter Fabio who always gives great service and is worthy of the tip at the end of each meal.
We tend to dine at Gusto midweek to take advantage of their excellent off of 40% off food on the a la carte menu. We find this gives great value and once paired with a decent bottle of Italian plonk it really is as good as it gets for one of those cheeky midweek nights out that you will only regret once the credit card bill arrives.
Tonight, predictably we opted for a Piemonte wine (still holding out as our favourite wine region in Italy after a holiday there a few years ago). I can’t look past the steaks at Gusto and the blonde opted for a heafty piece of pork.
We accompanied with green beans and their excellent zucchini fritti. I could eat these on their own. My steak was cooked perfectly to my order and the blonde stated that the pork was good.
The walk home to be “healthy” was voted down in favour of the Whiteside Taxi app (another credit card entry we could probably have done without, but hey its all airmiles!) and our midweek avoidance of having to cook for ourselves was declared a roaring success.
For dependable food, in a lovely environment with good service, give Gusto a try.
